Design & Production Committee
The Design & Production Committee investigates programs and procedures to help design and production personnel to do their jobs more effectively.
Diversity Committee
The Diversity Committee oversees diversity initiatives, including the Diversity Grant Program.
Editorial Committee
The Editorial Committee is responsible for developing editorial programming for AAN conferences; oversight of the AltWeekly Awards contest; and anything else that relates to the concerns of AAN editorial staff.
Electronic Publishing Committee
The Electronic Publishing Committee is responsible for web programming for AAN conferences and other web publishing initiatives.

Membership Committee
The Membership Committee is responsible for reviewing the applications of applying papers and reporting to AAN members on their suitability for membership in the association. (Article I, Section 3 of the AAN bylaws states: "Admission to Regular membership in the association shall be by written application to the Membership Committee. The Membership Committee shall make its recommendation on each application to the Regular membership at the annual meeting. The recommendations of the Membership Committee shall be voted upon at the annual meeting, and approval of two-thirds of the members casting votes shall be required for admission to membership in the association.")
Organization and Bylaws Committee
The Organization and Bylaws Committee is responsible for overseeing issues relating to association governance.
