AAN has reserved a block of rooms at the Kabuki Hotel (formerly Hotel Miyako) at a group rate of $125 per room, single or double occupancy. Rooms include iron and ironing boards, coffee makers and wireless internet access.

The deadline for reservations at the special AAN rate is Tuesday, January 15, 2008; however, we encourage you to book early as AAN’s block of rooms could be reserved prior to the deadline. To make your reservation, call (800) 533-4567 or (415) 922-3200 and ask for the Association of Alternative Newsweeklies’ group rate.

Reservations must be guaranteed with a major credit card or a first night’s deposit. Should it become necessary to cancel your reservation, the hotel must be notified at least 24 hours prior to the arrival date to avoid any penalty equal to the first night’s room and tax charges.

Valet parking is currently available for overnight guests for $25.50 per day, plus tax. Local conference attendees may also park in the Japan Center Garages. For up-to-date information, including rates, hours and directions, check the Japantown Parking Web site. The Japan Center Garages are not open 24 hours a day, so please be sure to check the hours when using the garages.
