Creative Loafing (Charlotte) Editor Named One of "The Root 100"
Carlton Hargro, editor in chief of Creative Loafing in Charlotte, N.C., was recently named as one of "The Root 100" by The Root.com, an African-American news website owned by the Washington Post.

The Root 100 is a list that's compiled every year by the website; it's designed to honor 100 "young achievers and pace setters" from across the nation who the site editors feel "represent the ideals of The Root."

About the honor, Hargro offered: "The Root is an incredibly respected site. And I'm glad to be in such heavy-duty company."
