International Journal of Media and Information Policy Fiscal Sponsorships
Beginning December 1, 2011, the International Information Policy Foundation (IIPF), the parent of the MIPJ, will consider taking on a fiscal sponsorship arrangement for select projects in information policy and research, journalism, and media (film, video, web, photography, and multi-platform projects) focused on international and humanitarian affairs that require a 501(c)(3) non-profit sponsoring organization in order to receive grants and donations for the project's development and completion.

The Rosalynn Carter Fellowships for Mental Health Journalism, Sept. 2012-2013
The Carter Center Mental Health Program in Atlanta, GA, provides six one-year fellowships for U.S. journalists to report on a selected topic regarding mental health or mental illnesses. The Fellowships are designed to increase accurate reporting on mental health issues and decrease incorrect, stereotypical information. Each journalist awarded will receive a $10,000 stipend. Applicants must have at least three years of professional experience in print or electronic journalism, submit an application packet (packet found online), and attend orientation and presentation meetings in September at the beginning and end of the Fellowship year. Fellows will not be required to leave their current employment. Awards will be announced July 13, 2012, on The Carter Center homepage.

18th Annual Casey Medals
Stories can change lives. Did you write, report, produce, shoot, or create a powerful piece of journalism/media in 2011 about the lives of children and families in the U.S.? If so, you should submit this work to the 2012 Casey Medals for Meritorious Journalism, a project of the Journalism Center on Children & Families, funded by the Annie E. Casey Foundation. Winners in a dozen categories are awarded $1000 at a ceremony in Washington, D.C. in October and will also be considered for $5000 prizes from America's Promise Alliance.
