Michael Schaffer Departs as Editor of Washington City Paper
Washington City Paper editor Michael Schaffer is leaving to become editorial director at The New Republic. Managing editor Mike Madden will take over as editor at the paper.

Also leaving for The New Republic is Lydia DePillis, whose Housing Complex blog took the top prize for Individual Blog at the AAN Awards last week.

City Paper arts editor Jonathan Fischer has been promoted to managing editor.
