MTV Greenlights Dan Savage's Sex Advice Show
MTV has approved a full season of Savage U, in which the ubiquitous sex advice columnist and Stranger editorial director takes questions while touring college campuses.

"I don't think there are any networks talking to teenagers about how to navigate sex and modern relationships," MTV head of production Chris Linn tells Inside TV. "There's been a real leap forward in information online and the way teens communicate and Dan is somebody who brings real credibility."

Creative Loafing's Shawn Alff says Savage "will undoubtedly bring a certain amount of edginess to the network," pointing out that his brand of frank sexual talk goes beyond what's aired on MTV in the past.

"While Dr. Drew doesn't think anal sex is a good idea on any level, Savage explains exactly how to do it safely," Alff writes.
