Phoenix Media Group Sued By Facebook
Phoenix Media/Communications Group -- the parent company of AAN publications Boston Phoenix, Portland Phoenix, and Providence Phoenix -- is being sued by Facebook for patent infringement.

Facebook claims that Phoenix Media websites' search engines for band, restaurant and event listings violate its patents.

In addition:
Facebook also charges its patent is violated by a Phoenix search engine that lets users specify exactly what sort of sex acts they want to see in X-rated videos catalogued by the Phoenix's adult sites.

Last October, Phoenix Media sued Facebook for infringing on its patents for publishing online profiles.
