Final Count from San Diego: 542 People, 89 AAN Papers and One Dog
That's a 12 percent increase over 2004's convention registration total of 484. More than a quarter of this year's attendees received a complimentary registration, including 51 classified managers and 57 beneficiaries of our third-registration-for-free program. There were also 50 exhibitors in 29 booths. Note to the Advice Goddess: The dog has to pay next year.

2006 AAN Convention to Be Held in Little Rock

With this year's convention in San Diego just over, the Arkansas Times is itching to bring the convention to Little Rock next summer. Why? "Rampant boosterism," says Alan Leveritt, the paper's publisher. "We love Little Rock, and we wanted to introduce our friends at AAN to her."
